Manage user reviews and ratings
Reviews Management
The Reviews Management system allows administrators to view, monitor, and manage all user reviews and ratings submitted on the platform.
Location: Dashboard → Reviews
Overview
The Reviews Management page provides a comprehensive view of all user reviews, allowing administrators to:
- View all reviews with filtering options
- See detailed review information including ratings
- View the gig associated with each review
- See reviewer and reviewee information
- Delete inappropriate reviews
Accessing Reviews
- Navigate to Dashboard → Reviews
- You'll see a list of all reviews with the following information:
- Review ID
- Associated Gig
- Reviewer information
- Overall rating (out of 5.0)
- Review comment (truncated)
- Review date
- Direction (Buyer to Seller or Seller to Buyer)
Filtering Reviews
You can filter reviews by:
- Search: Search by reviewer name, email, gig title, or review comment
- Direction: Filter by review direction (Buyer to Seller or Seller to Buyer)
Click "Clear Filters" to reset all filters.
Viewing Review Details
- Click the eye icon in the Actions column for any review
- A modal will open showing:
- Reviewer Information: Name, email, and avatar
- Reviewee Information: The person being reviewed
- Gig Information: Full gig title with link to view the gig
- Rating Details:
- Overall rating (out of 5.0)
- Communication rating (1-5 stars)
- Accuracy rating (1-5 stars)
- Experience rating (1-5 stars)
- Review Direction: Whether it's from buyer to seller or vice versa
- Full Comment: Complete review text
- Review Date: When the review was submitted
Deleting Reviews
- Click the trash icon in the Actions column
- Confirm the deletion
- The review will be permanently removed
- If the review was a buyer-to-seller review, the gig's rating will be automatically recalculated
Note:
- Deleting a review cannot be undone
- When a buyer-to-seller review is deleted, the gig's total reviews count and average rating are automatically updated
- If all reviews for a gig are deleted, the gig's average rating will be reset to 0
Review Directions
Buyer to Seller
Reviews submitted by buyers about sellers after completing an order. These reviews affect the gig's overall rating and are displayed on the gig page.
Seller to Buyer
Reviews submitted by sellers about buyers. These are typically used for internal tracking and don't affect gig ratings.
Rating System
Each review includes three rating categories:
- Communication: How well the seller/buyer communicated
- Accuracy: How accurate the delivered work was compared to expectations
- Experience: Overall experience with the transaction
The overall rating is calculated as the average of these three ratings.
Best Practices
- Monitor Regularly: Check reviews regularly to ensure quality and catch inappropriate content
- Review Details: Always check the full review details before taking action
- Delete Inappropriate Reviews: Remove reviews that violate platform guidelines
- Understand Impact: Be aware that deleting buyer-to-seller reviews affects gig ratings
