Configure platform-wide settings for gigs
Gig Settings
Configure platform-wide settings that apply to all gigs created on your platform. Set limits, requirements, and validation rules.
Location: Dashboard → Settings → Gig
Configure tag requirements for gigs.
- Go to Dashboard → Settings → Gig
- Find "Tags" section
- Set "Minimum Tags" (default: 3)
- Set "Maximum Tags" (default: 5)
- Click "Save"
Freelancers must add between minimum and maximum tags when creating gigs.
Description Settings
Configure description length requirements.
- Go to Dashboard → Settings → Gig
- Find "Description" section
- Set "Minimum Description" length in characters (default: 500)
- Set "Maximum Description" length in characters (default: 2000)
- Click "Save"
Gig descriptions must be between minimum and maximum character limits.
Image Settings
Configure image upload requirements.
- Go to Dashboard → Settings → Gig
- Find "Images" section
- Set "Image Extensions" - Allowed file types (default: PNG, JPG, JPEG, WEBP)
- Set "Image Max Size" in MB (default: 5)
- Set "Image Max Count" - Maximum number of images (default: 5)
- Click "Save"
Freelancers can upload images following these rules.
Video Settings
Configure video upload requirements.
- Go to Dashboard → Settings → Gig
- Find "Video" section
- Set "Video Max Size" in MB (default: 50)
- Click "Save"
Freelancers can upload one video per gig following this size limit.
Document Settings
Configure document upload requirements.
- Go to Dashboard → Settings → Gig
- Find "Documents" section
- Set "Document Extensions" - Allowed file types (default: PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT)
- Set "Document Max Size" in MB (default: 10)
- Click "Save"
Freelancers can upload documents following these rules.
Auto-Publish Gigs
Automatically approve new gigs without manual review.
- Go to Dashboard → Settings → Gig
- Find "Auto Publish Gigs" toggle
- Enable to automatically approve new gigs
- Disable to require manual approval
- Click "Save"
When enabled, new gigs are automatically set to "Active" status without admin approval.
ID Verification Requirement
Require freelancers to verify their identity before creating gigs.
- Go to Dashboard → Settings → Gig
- Find "Require ID Verification" toggle
- Enable to require ID verification
- Disable to allow gig creation without verification
- Click "Save"
When enabled, freelancers must complete ID verification before they can create gigs.

Best Practices
Tag Limits:
- 3-5 tags is optimal for SEO and discoverability
- Too many tags can be spammy
- Too few tags limit discoverability
Description Length:
- 500-2000 characters ensures detailed but concise descriptions
- Minimum prevents low-quality gigs
- Maximum prevents overly long descriptions
File Limits:
- Set reasonable size limits to prevent server issues
- Allow common file formats
- Consider server storage capacity
Auto-Publish:
- Enable if you trust your community
- Disable if you want quality control
- Monitor gig quality regularly
ID Verification:
- Enable for higher trust and security
- Disable to lower barriers for new freelancers
- Consider your platform's needs
